The Allure Group Earns Eli Pick Award

Eli Pick Award

The Allure Group is proud to announce that our Crown Heights Center, Hamilton Park, and Harlem Center have been recognized by the American College of Healthcare Administrators for the Eli Pick Leadership Award.  The award is presented each year to the skilled nursing facilities deemed to be among the nation’s top performers.

Winners are selected based on a variety of quality indicators, quality measures, overall census as well as three years of survey data.

Only 7% of the nation’s SNFs qualified for the honor. We are extremely excited and humbled to have been recognized. Congrats again to this year’s winners!

ATCU Marks First Full Month

The Advanced Transitional Care Unit, a joint partnership between Maimonides Medical Center and the Hamilton Park Center, completed its first full month of operation.

The ATCU is a state-of-the-art transitional care unit that ensures patients make a smooth transition from the acute to post-acute setting. Patients are stratified based on diagnosis and acuity, then receive enhanced transitional care until moving into the post-acute phase of their stay. We’re excited to see the success this new program will bring to our patients!

Allure To Celebrate National Wear Red Day on Feb. 1

Hamilton Park

The first Friday of every February — i.e., American Heart Month — is designated National Wear Red Day, to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease. This year that occasion falls on Feb. 1, and Allure plans to join the wave of red sweeping the nation.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States, killing some 610,000 people every year. Some 735,000 Americans suffer a heart attack each year. We invite all to join us in bringing awareness by wearing red tomorrow, Feb 1st.

Stay tuned for a full listing of events taking place this month at Allure as we recognize American Heart Month and Allure’s groundbreaking Hearts in Motion Cardiac Rehabilitation program!

Team-building, one of an executive’s most critical tasks, is primarily a matter of promoting professional development and personal wellness within the workforce. So writes Allure Group COO Melissa Powell for the publication Business.com:

Developing great employees is a multifaceted task, but much of it starts by addressing their needs as professionals. In any industry, development and fulfillment are the major aspects of professional satisfaction, and any organization that works hard to foster these two qualities will find itself enjoying the rewards–motivated, self-starting, hardworking employees.

Melissa adds that it is also important to provide such perks as meditation rooms, yoga studios and exercise facilities, to help employees deal with the everyday stresses of their jobs.
