In honor of Black History Month, Crown Heights Center held a celebration for the culmination of the month as seen in the photos above. Together our staff and residents joined in taking photos with our Black History Month sign.

Melissa powell named one of McKnight’s Women of Distinction

Nineteen senior-level women working in senior living or skilled nursing were recognized as Hall of Honor inductees into the McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards program for 2021 and our COO Melissa Powell was included as one of them! So well deserved! Congratulations Melissa!

Heart Awareness Month

In honor of Heart Awareness Month, The Allure Group celebrated our American Heart Month Honoree. We are proud to know this difference maker in the world of cardiology, Dr. Kris-Angelo Natividad, DNP, NP-BC, at Maimonides Medical Center. King David Center has just opened the first ever aqua therapy pool in a Brooklyn SNF! This amazing therapy tool has just cemented King David Center as Brooklyn’s Neurological Rehabilitation Center of Excellence!

Healthcare Heroes from Crown Heights Center Honored in The New York CARIBNEWS

In a special edition of The New York CARIBNEWS that went out this month honoring Black History Month, our very own Marsha Turner-Simpson and Brenda Allen of Crown Heights Center were featured.

Marsha has been an LPN at CHC for nearly a decade and Brenda is a resident, having served 35 years as a nurse and mortician at Rikers Island in her younger years.
